Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage, also known as Indian Champissage, originated from Ayurveda, an ancient system of medicine which has been practiced in India for over 1,000 years. It is a form of relaxation massage that focuses on the face, head, neck, shoulders, upper back and upper arms. These areas are important energy centers within the body where tension accumulates resulting in neck and shoulder pain and headaches. A firm and gentle rhythm is used to release blockages and relieve tension and pain. This form of massage is very relaxing and has a balancing effect on physical, emotional and psychological levels.

What happens during an Indian Head Massage?

Indian Head Massage differs from a typical massage as it is performed with the recipient fully-clothed, seated on a comfortable chair. It is recommended that you wear no jewelry or glasses and a loose-fitting cotton shirt. No essential oils or other body products will be used. You will be asked to close your eyes, relax and breathe deeply as you experience a unique combination of Reiki, Swedish Massage and Reflexology techniques.
